Dr. Karen Siegel is
a Licensed Psychologist, who helps people of all ages cope with psychological problems,
traumas, and stresses of personal and professional life. She
works with individuals, including those in the performing arts
and sports; couples; families; and groups.
Besides English, she is fairly
fluent in Spanish and French.
From her broad training and experience, Dr. Siegel has developed
an eclectic approach, which is strongly dynamic and humanistic.
Her services are focused upon holistic health and wellness
throughout the life-span. Creative expression and personal
empowerment are highly valued.
Dr.
Siegel's private practice office is in Manhasset, Long Island, a
suburb near New York City, adjacent to North Shore University

enrich her understanding of people and her clinical practice.
She is a consultant on international mental health and well
being, particularly as an advocate for women. Her strong
commitment to advancing human rights is evident in her service
as Zonta International NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) Representative to the United Nations,
on the United Nations' NGO
Executive Board of the Committee on Mental Health, and other
international committees. The
Charter President of Zonta International's Greater Queens
Chapter, Dr. Siegel
was honored by Zonta as "Woman of the Year Working Against
Violence."
